Here's a 1995 W140 S600 for sale in town. Not sure what they're asking, or the mileage, but the car looks clean. No answer from either number on the sale sign.

Jeezus, those things had huge greenhouses..

Edit: It's got 88k miles and he's asking $8,000.

As a former S600 driver, i have some question for you to ask before you buy that girl:

Have you ever drive a V12 before?

You sold The Beast?

I'm not shopping for a gas-guzzling tank, I'm a TDI guy. I just happened on it when in town yesterday. The only thing that makes it special to me is the V12, othrwise it's a dime-a-dozen old S-class. Haven't driven a Twelve before.

I'll gladly put those wheels on my A4!

Yeah. Traded that thing to a CLS550, and sold the CLS to get my current car, the Toyota Crown, which i'm going to sell it again.

Well, i thought you want to buy that. That V12 inside the W140 is i think the best engine mercedes ever made. It's so smooth, yet when you stick some custom exhuast kit it turns become a savage animal.

I'm sure it runs turbine smooth, but I've read that parts for it are really pricy (no surprise) and regular maintenance is considerably higher because of the engine. It is, after all, a 20 year old M-B.

Yeah.

I mean, it's really reliable for a 20-year old V12. But when something goes wrong, it'll be very expensive and hard to find.

If the car was cheap enough, I'd think the V12 would be a cool & different engine to stick in a Cobra replica. (yes, I'm that weird) I'd also think a GM LS3 would be a great fit for the S-class. I'd call it Frankenbenz.

Well, i think it will be a bitch to drive, that cobra, since the weight distribution would be really fucked up. But it's really a great idea.

For me..
I really want old mercs with V12, like W111 with V12.

Do you know what the MSRP of your 1996 S600 was new?

Well, in Indonesia W140 S600 is very rare, since it's used to retail for nearly 150k USD. in 1996.

But for mine , i think it's slightly more since it comes with ortophedic seats.
